Location: Central Mexico, with their capital city, Tenochtitlan

\Achievements: advanced engineering, including causeways and aqueducts, floating gardens, and ability to grow crops, year around, like maize, beans, and squash.

Technology: Created a sophisticated calendar system. Known for their grand pyramids, temples, and intricate artwork.

Society: Hierarchical society where nobles and high priests were at the top, followed by Warriors, Merchants, Farmers, & Servants and Slave

They believed that a human heart was a mini sun and it's energy was represented in the human heart.

They believed each day that the sun battled the heavens and believed that they were also "warriors of the sun"

The Aztecs killed thousands of neighboring tribes as a sacrifices to their god and taxed the remaining heavily.

Across the empire, people concurred by Aztecs were eager for revenge.
