Analyzing Narrative Point of View

Today we will use specific words and descriptions to identify the narration's point of view and discuss how the story's narration impacts our understanding

The point of view in a story shows us who is telling, or narrating, the tale. We are going to locate clues to help us identify the point of view in "Pecos Bill." The point of view will give us insight into the characters' words and interactions with others, and help us understand how these characters see their world.
