What is multiplication?

Multiplication Definition:

Multiplication is the repeated addition of groups of equal sizes, let's look!

Example:
2 x 3 means adding 3 to itself two times, or 3+3=6

Let's look at some more examples!

We see 4 boxes, each with 2 cupcakes.
"X" = Groups therefore 4 groups of 2 looks like 4X2
Also known as:
2+2+2+2
