Step 1 - Introduction

Introduce your topic clearly .







Explain to audience why they should care about your topic.

Step 2 - Need

1. Describe the problem

2. Provide one or more examples to illustrate the need.

3. Provide CREDIBLE evidence.

4. Show the audience exactly how the problem relates to them.
   
   
   

Step 3 - Satisfaction

Presenting the Solution -

1. Clearly state the attitude, value, belief or action you want the audience to accept.

2. Clearly explain why they should accept the attitude, value, belief or action you proposed.

3. Show how the solution meets the need or solves the problem with evidence to support it.

4. Show examples of where your proposal has worked elsewhere.

5. Think about counterarguments people may have and rebut them as you give your speech.
   
   
   

Step 4 - Visualization

Speaker shows the audience why/how it will affect the future.

1. Positive visualization is where a speaker shows how it will lead to a better future.

2. Negative visualization shows how not adopting the proposal will lead to a worse future.

3. Combination of both shows both outcomes and has them decide which one they would rather have.

What does the speaker want from the audience?

1. What direct physical behaviors does the speaker want from the audience?

2. What agreement or consent does the speaker want from the audience?
