Vocabulary​

1. Adapted - suited to its function or environment.

2. Pollinator - a living thing such as an insect that carries pollen from anther to the stigma of a flower.

3. Pollinate - transfer pollen from an anther to the stigma of a flower of the same kind.

4. Fertilise - joining an egg with pollen in plants.

5. Nectar - a sweet liquid that flowers make.

1. Insects: Honey Bees, butterfly, bat, hummingbirds, wasps, moths.​

The pollen stick on their bobies​, then they move to another flower of the same kind moving the pollen to the pistil so the flower can make seeds.

1. They are white or have brightly coloured petals.

2. They have a scent.

3. They produce nectar.

4. They have marks on the petals to guide the insects to the nectar inside the flower.​
