At the end of the lesson, you are able to:

● Describe how Earth’s internal heat can be transferred by geothermal water

● Explain how heat from the inside of the Earth (geothermal) is tapped as a source of

energy for human use.

● Demonstrate how geothermal energy can be renewal and non-renewable resource

Geothermal energy is basically considered as a renewable resource. However, some geothermal resources deplete fast in some cases. Here are examples of depleting geothermal resources:

1. Source of heat within is due to radioactive materials or residual heat.

2. Recycling geothermal water back to the source is slower than getting it.
