Lo que pasaba era que a mí, cuando niño, me cohibían mucho, me ponían sombrero de burro, me decían: “váyase para una esquina”; una persona me pegó por eso. Entonces, yo me tiendo a reflejar mucho en los niños y sé que ellos son cansones, porque lo que quieren es llamar la atención. Entonces, yo en las prácticas lo que hago es darle un papel a cada uno. Aunque en todas las clases que tenía en inglés (de la licenciatura) sentía un pánico escénico agudo que me paralizaba, me generaba ansiedad intensa, e incluso evitaba entrar a ellas, para no enfrentarme a dichos miedos que me generaba hablar en público y en inglés. En prácticas me sentía segura.

A lo largo de mi vida he tenido cosas bastantes pesadas […] en las que uno tiene que ponerse con cabeza fría y actuar. Entonces, ese tipo de cosas llegan y se siguen presentado. Es algo que sigue pasando; entonces […] uno va como creando unos mecanismos como para lidiar con esa cuestión social en la que uno se ve forzado. (P, s.4)
El manejo de las emociones que generan las situaciones externas y la interacción con los demás en un entorno específico hacen parte de la inteligencia emocional desarrollada por el individuo (Mayer et al., 2016).
