פורים is connected in a very special way to Jewish children. The Midrash tells us that when המן made his wicked decree against the Jewish people, he wanted to begin with the children: המן said “l will harm the children first”.

Just as the decree began with the Jewish children, so it was abolished through them. The Midrash tells us that מרדכי gathered all the children together. Then he davened and learned תורה with them; the children's pure voices immediately reached ‘ה.

In the merit of the Tefillos and תורה study of these children, sadness was turned into joy - the great joy of פורים, which is the happiest of all the Yomim Tovim.

Today!

Today, too, Jewish children influence the fate of the entire Jewish people. We are not faced with a cruel decree, chas v'shalom. The pure voices of the Jewish children can be used to bring a blessing upon all the Jewish people.

Jewish Children act!!!

Jewish children must act as did the children in the days of מרדכי and אסתר. Children should gather together to daven and ask ‘ה for success in everything. They should also learn תורה together, especially the laws of the Beis Hamikdash. For the Gemara tells us that מרדכי learned the laws of the service in the Beis Hamikdash with the young children he had gathered.

The impact!!!

When Jewish children gather to learn תורה and daven, ‘ה answers their tefillos. He blesses not only them but all the Jewish people, especially their parents and their teachers, with all the good things they need. Then each one of us, and all of us together will have light and joy, gladness and honor.
