​Content objective: We will create contractions with negative past tense verbs.
Language objective: We will write contractions using was not, were not, and did not.

​To make a contraction, put two words together one of them being not and take out the o and add an appostrophe
was not wasn't
were not weren't
did not didn't

​The friends didn't go to the movies. There wasn't time to go. They weren't happy.
