Oceans are salt water ecosystems.

Marine biomes have the most biodiversity. This means that it has the most types of plants and animals.

Many animals live in the ocean, like dolphins and whales and jellyfish.

Over 1 million plants and animals have been discovered in the oceans.

Algae is important, it makes oxygen so we can breathe.

One type of algae is kelp. Kelp is important because it provides shelter and food for animals.

Kelp absorbs energy from waves before the waves hit the beach.
