Explore Activity: The mole

Today you will determine the mass, number of moles, and/or number of particles for different element samples in a virtual explore activity on Accelerate learning.

We use Avogadro's number(6.02 x 10²³) to count particles (atoms, molecules, formula units)

We use the periodic table to find the average atomic masses of elements (atoms)

we would take the 21 grams of rice and divide 1000 grains which means that every one grain of rice weighs 0.021 grams
21 g / 1,000 grains = 0.021 g/grain

We use fractions or ratios to determine relationships between numbers in science
