Threats

Caution and Awareness

Often companies and organisations will give the staff mandatory training, providing them with awareness of certain scams and threats that they may encounter, as such the staff become more cautious when handling sensitive data, interacting with unknown sources, or responding to suspicious communication.

Two-Step verification

Two-step verification requires an additional layer of authentication (e.g., a one-time code sent to a mobile device) to make it harder for attackers to gain access even if they guess a password.

Additionally, Enforce strong, complex passwords (e.g., a mix of uppercase, lowercase, numbers, and special characters).

Account Lockout Policies can set account lockout mechanisms that temporarily disable an account after a specific number of failed login attempts.

Firewalls

Firewalls are very effective means of protection against several threats, Firewalls operate by monitoring any data that enters the network from the internet and from accounts/devices on the network.
