Recap of last lesson:

• We learned what homeostasis is and how our bodies are very picky about keeping our internal environment the same, even though the outside environment may change.

• We also learned that a negative feedback loop is how most body levels stay within the right range - if our body senses something is too high or low it does the opposite to bring it back to normal.

Is there such this as positive feedback?

In a negative feedback loop, our bodies notice something and do the opposite to bring it back to normal. The see saw doesn't happen for every body process though.

​Positive feedback: A change makes more of the same thing happen, growing bigger and stronger. Unlike negative feedback, it doesn’t bring things back to normal but keeps the change going.
