• Throughout this unit, you have worked on a research and informational writing project that answers the unit inquiry question: What is technology's future?

• You used the research process as you developed this project, and today, you will revise it so that it is ready to submit in an upcoming lesson.

Informational Project Recap

• The Informational Project is graded on five domains:

  • organization

  • focus

  • style

  • conventions

• If you have not finished your Informational Project, you will need to finish it before starting to revise and edit

• Read though your paper checking for Content

  • Did you include 6 supporting details from valid and credible cited sources?

Revising for Content

• Read through your project and check for focus

  • Did you clearly state your thesis?

  • Did you stay on topic by including details that help prove your thesis?

Revising for Focus

• Read through your project and check for organization

  • Did you begin with an engaging hook?

  • Did you include 3 body paragraphs or informational cards?

  • Did you end with a conclusion that summarizes your main points?

Revising for Organization

• You have the rest of class to complete your project and begin revising and editing

• After you finish, the rest of class is choice time. You can be working on:

  • Silent Reading

  • Get help from Mrs. Massack

  • Overdue Edio Lessons
