According to our professor, violent movies, which are quite popular today, have not had positive effects on many children.

Our class spoke to Dr. Samantha Smith, who is a psychology professor about the effects of movie violence on teenagers.

Dr. Smith says that violence which is portrayed as funny is particularly offensive to parents.

Dr. Smith, a Harvard graduate, has studied the effects of violence in the media on teens.

She reports that many children who are younger than 17 regularly see violent movies with older siblings or friends.

Dr. Smith's children, who are both between the ages of 6 and 10, are not permitted to watch violent movies.

Dr. Henry Brown, whose mother is also a researcher, is known for conducting studies about the effect of violence on children.

Dr. Brown has found that movies which show women and children in frightening situations are extremely disturbing to many people.
