​1) Bone marrow (Sum-sum Tulang)

• 2 types of bone marrow:

                   i.    yellow (adipose) and

                  ii.    red (hematopoietic)

• Red marrow actively makes blood cells (hematopoiesis)

• mainly in the flat and irregular bones: ends of long bones, pelvic bones, vertebrae, sacrum, sternum, ribs, flat cranial bones, and scapulae
