Comparing Decimals
Rounding Decimals
2
Comparing Decimals
Example: Arrange these decimal numbers in order from least to greatest:
0.13, 0.128, 0.0475
Solution: 0.0475, 0.128, 0.13
The third number has a 0. So we can determine that 0.0475 is the least of the three numbers. Since 0.128 has a 2 in the hundredths place, it is less than 0.13, which has a 3 in the hundredths place.
