How can you interpret a distance-time
graph? continued
A distance-time graph plots an object’s distance over
time. The slope of a graph is the steepness of the line.

Exit Ticket
Choose one of the following ways to
show how motion can be graphed.
1.
Draw and label a distance-time graph for
the motion of a ball thrown up into the air.
Include its return to its starting position.
2.
Draw and label a distance-time graph for
the motion of a train that starts at station
A, travels to station B, and then returns
to station A.
