Asbestos work should be carried out by a specialist licensed company, which has a workforce trained in this area.

If there is 7kg or less of asbestos this can be removed by the homeowner.

Wear the correct PPE.
Carry out the removal in a well ventilated area.
Double bag the asbestos and place a label on the bag - ACM (asbestos containing material).
Take it to a licenced waste facility.
