packaging, distribution,
transporting, marketing,
preparing, advertising, tasting, testing, teaching, and
researching.

Food Service Managers

• They plan menus, hire and train new employees as well as handle payroll.

Home Economists

They are involved in education, dietetics, nutrition, communications,
business, consumer
affairs and research.

Dietitians

• They help people develop healthful eating habits by teaching them to choose nutritious food.

Nutritionist

• Are registered dietitians or

home economists with a
degree in food and nutrition
who work in hospitals, medical
schools, clinics, etc.

• They help people to develop

good food habits.

Executive Chef

• Develop recipes, plan

menus, order food
supplies, and direct the
preparation of food.

Health Inspector

• Travel to various food

services to evaluate
the sanitation
practices of these
places on a regular
basis.

Food and Nutrition
Teacher

•Teach nutrition and
food preparation, while also preparing students for national examinations.

Caterer

• They monitor agreements, plan menus and decorations, purchase ingredients and prepare meals for private events .
