Let’s Discuss: Rate of Dissolution

The rate of dissolution refers to
how fast a solute dissolves in a
solvent. Temperature has a direct
effect on the rate of a solute
dissolving in a solvent.

Temperature:
Increasing the temperature of the solvent
allows the solute to dissolve more easily.

For example, dissolving a solute in hot water is
easier than dissolving a solute in cold water.
