Attention Getting-Pg 4

●When Interacting with Deaf People there are 4 ways to get there
attention. But only 2 ways that are appropriate for you to Use.
○Tap shoulder- If you are NOT in the Line of Sight of the person.
You should GENTLY tap there shoulder Twice to get there
attention

○Wave- If you are in the Line of Sight of the person. You should
Subtle Wave twice at them. DO NOT put your hand close to
there Face.

○Stomping/Hitting the desk- Stomp /Hit the table Twice to
Create Vibrations

○Flicker the Lights- This Should ONLY be done in an attempt to
get the attention of a Large Crowd.
