So what’s a trophic pyramid?

Same thing, but in layers. Shows energy transfer.

CARNIVORE
HERBIVORE
PLANT

Plants. They get energy from the SUN, water, and CO2.

Herbivores. They eat the plants.

Primary Consumer

Carnivores. They eat the herbivores (and other carnivores sometimes

​​Secondary Consumer

Carnivores who eat OTHER carnivores.

Tertiary Consumer

​They eat dead animals.

Scavenger

They break down dead stuff (including plants).

Decomposer

We will be making a physical food chain to hang from the ceiling.

EVERY one has to make a chain.

Make yourself a google doc with this information. You need 3 carnivores, 3 herbivores they eat, and 3 plants those herbivores eat.
