ใช้แสดงความจริง การกระทำหรือเหตุการณ์ในปัจจุบัน รวมถึงหลักการหรือกฏเกณฑ์ ที่ใช้อยู่ และข้อเท็จจริงตามหลักธรรมชาติ คติสอนใจ คำสุภาษิต

1.การกระทำที่เป็นประจำ

​On weekdays he gets up at seven thirty.
วันธรรมดาเขาตื่นนอนตอน7โมงครึ่ง

They clean their house every week.
พวกเขาทำความสะอาดบ้านทุกสัปดาห์

2.แสดงความจริงการกระทำหรือเหตุการณ์ในปัจจุบัน

​The children wear a uniform. เด็กๆสวมเครื่องแบบ

She is an English teacher. หล่อนเป็นครูสอนภาษาอังกฤษ

The soup is very hot. ซุปร้อนมาก

3.แสดงถึงหลักความจริงไม่มีทางเปลี่ยนแปลง

The sun rises in the east. พระอาทิตย์ขึ้นทางทิศตะวันออก
Reap what you saw. หว่านอะไร ก็ได้อย่างนั้น
Time flies like an arrow. เวลาผ่านไปเหมือนติดจรวด
