Mean: A measure of center computed by adding the data values and then dividing by the number of data values in the data set.

Median: The value appearing at the center of a sorted version of the list of data.

Mode: The data value that is repeated the most in a data set.

Which is appropriate?

Mean is a great measure of center, but it can be overly effected by very large or small numbers, which are called "outliers".
When outliers are involved, median is a more appropriate measure of center.
Mode is useful in a different way, finding the most frequently repeated data value.
