​History of Disney

Disney's headquarters are located in Burbank, California. It was founded on October 16, 1923 by the brothers Walt Disney and Roy Disney. The Disney Corporation became popular with their animated short called "Steamboat Willie", which was the first post-produced sound cartoon. This also introduced the character of Mickey Mouse who became the mascot for the company.
