in real life?

• triangle – 3 sides
• quadrilateral – 4 sides

(there are many types of these, like
parallelograms, rhombuses,
squares, and trapezoids)

• pentagon – 5 sides

(like the building in Washington, D.C.)

• hexagon – 6 sides

(has an “x” like the number “six”)
• octagon – 8 sides

(like an octopus has 8 legs)
• decagon – 10 sides

(like a “decade”)

not even be polygons!
