Students have a self-directed class period of learning that is dedicated to developing and demonstrating a key skill in an area of interest. (similar to a capstone projects or genius hours)

Students are led by another student to develop an area of interest or perceived area of interest. (similar to Lab in 2024)

Students explore a range of activities in a variety of interest fields in short succession to increase expose and help students latch onto Dalton interest areas.

Students receive one-on-one mentorship from faculty and staff to build skills in organization, prioritization, reflection and managing conflicts.

Students complete a strengths inventory and hold collaborative discussions regarding their identfiied strengths and foster a community of reflective leaders and decision-makers who have a common language of practicing leadership.

Students participate in a workshop program to practice leadership roles within teams (setting direction, outlining expectations, holding folks accountable, addressing conflicts, etc...).

Students mentor younger students through difficult phases of transition in school through regular "buddy" meetings
