Why Implement Morning Meetings?

Benefits of Daily Morning Meetings

Morning meetings directly address several needs demonstrated by the school including but not limited to
- Buidling inclusive and welcoming classroom communities
-Increased social-emotional learning
-Engage and excite students
-Proven to improve social-emotional well-being
-Prepares students for an interconnected global society

Effective Morning Meetings are composed of four sections that engage students and prepare a positive and inclusive learning environment ideal for student success.

Everyone greets each other by name and preferred greeting method.

​​Greeting

Students are offered share time with their peers. Listeners may offer kind comments or on-topic questions.

​​Sharing

Students participate in an engaging activity that fosters collaboration and integrates social and/or academic skills.

​​Group Activity

A short message from the teacher that introduces the focus points of the day.
