Writing for using also, as well, and too // Introduction to Unit 9.

ALSO, AS WELL, TOO ​

• ​They are adverbs with similar meaning and they occupy different positions in a sentence.

• IN ADDITION: add information

​ALSO

• ​This word is used as a formal way

• ​It is use for emphasis

• ​It is written before the verb

• After the verb TO BE (if it is the main one that is being talked about)

​ALSO

• Anette is very intelligent. ALSO she is very talented in music

• ​I can play football but I can ALSO play basketball.

• ​My name is Jovani, ALSO know as Jio

• ​He bougth the pants, he ALSO bougth the T-shirt

​AS WELL

• ​It is much more common in spoken language

• ​it comes at the end of the sentence

• ​It can also be used to give short answers.

• I speak English and I can speak French AS WELL

• ​I will have the burger, and I will have the salad AS WELL

​TOO

• ​We usually put it at the end of the sentence

• ​If it goes in the middle of the sentence it must go between commas

• ​It is especially common in responces to fixed expression such as giving good wishes

• I can play soccer TOO

• ​Your sister looks tired and thirty TOO

• ​A: Have a good time !

• ​B: You TOO !
