After hearing Elijah's concern, God tells him to go out and stand on the mountain for the Lord is about to pass by.

God Responds

When all is going crazy in our lives, God still wants to let us know that He is with us and it the challenges are not proof of His absence. He is always with us through it all. His peace is our comfort.

What does this mean for Us?

It is not always the most learned presentation of God's truth that convicts and converts the soul...It is the still, small voice of the Spirit of God that has power to Change the heart.

Highs and Lows of Growth

Spiritual highs are often followed by spiritual lows. This can be on the heels of a powerful camp or activity that brought you closer to God. Surrounded by others that believe like you, singing, praying it is easy to be happy and positive. Once you leave that environment, dealing with parents, homework, or friendships can make you feel discouraged. God's word doesn't say that we will never know unhappiness or discouragement. Just like Elijah after his victory against the prophets of Baal, he crashed in discouragement, But God did not abandon him, and he won't abandon us either.
