​Kata Kerja ( Verb) yang berkaitan dengan Arah dalam bahasa Inggris

🞂               - Turn right = Belok kanan

🞂               - Turn left = Belok kiri

🞂               - Go straight = Lurus

🞂               - Cross = Menyeberang

🞂               2. Prepositions of Place (Kata Depan Penunjuk Tempat)

Selain menggunakan kata kerja, kita juga bisa menggunakan kata depan untuk menunjukkan letak suatu tempat

🞂               Beside = Di sebelah

🞂               - Between = Di antara

🞂               - Behind = Di belakang

🞂               - In front of = Di depan

🞂               - Across from = Di seberang

Cara Menyusun Kalimat

​Untuk memberikan arah menggunakan kata kerja dalam bahasa Inggris, kita bisa langsung menyebutkannya saja, tanpa harus didahului dengan subjek.

Contoh:
1. Go straight forward until you found toilet. (Lurus ke depan sampai kamu menemukan toilet.)

2. Go straight for 100 m and then turn left. (Jalan lurus sejauh 100 m lalu belok kiri.)

Namun, jika ingin menunjukkan letak suatu benda menggunakan prepositions of place (beside, between, dan lain-lain), kita perlu menyusun kalimat menggunakan rumus berikut:

     Rumus: Subject + to be + preposition of place + object

Contoh:

1. My school (S) is (to be) between (prep. of place) the bank and police station (object).

Kalimat Asking Direction (menanyakan arah)

🞂                 Excuse me, could you tell me how to get to the nearest

post office?

(permisi, bisakah kamu memberitahuku kemana arah

kantor pos terdekat?)

🞂                 Excuse me, do you know where the nearest post office is?

(permisi, apakah kamu tahu dimana kantor pos terdekat?)

🞂                 Excuse me, can you show me the way to the station,

please?

(permisi, bisakah kamu menunjukkan jalan ke stasiun, tolong?)
