1. Open "Terminal" in Windows

2. Voer het commando wsl --list --online uit om alle beschikbare distributies te raadplegen

1. Voer het commando wsl --install Ubuntu uit om Ubuntu te installeren in de WSL omgeving.

2. Indien je nog geen actieve WSL machines had wordt nu de VirtuelMachinePlatform feature geïnstalleerd en wordt Ubuntu geïnstalleerd.

3. Wanneer de installatie voltooid is, herstart je toestel.

1. Wanneer je toestel herstart is, open een Windows terminal en voer wsl --install Ubuntu uit

Voer een gebruikersnaam en tweemaal een wachtwoord in. Nadien ben je automatisch aangemeld.

1. Open een nieuw tabblad in Windows Terminal en voer het command wsl --list --verbose (een overzicht van alle geïnstalleerde WSL machines en hun status)

2. Voer het commando wsl --terminate Ubuntu uit om de WSL machine te stoppen.

1. Voer het commando wsl -d Ubuntu uit om een nieuwe WSL sessie de starten van de distrubitie Ubuntu

1. Update alle repositories met het commando:
   sudo apt update

2. Installeer gimp
   sudo apt install gimp -y

3. Klik op de Windows knop en kies voor "alle apps"

4. Ga naar de map Ubuntu en klik op "Gimp"
