 Invasive species are taking over rivers and lakes in America. Because of massive flooding, these

species have now made other fish extinct and brought diseases with them

Kudzu is an invasive plant that has taken over the South. It was originally planted to do good

things, but it grows so fast that it has smothered out all of the other plants. Now no other plants

can grow around it.

 Aggressive carp have taken over many bodies of water across America. These carp are larger

than the fish that were originally there, so they are stronger competitors for food. Kudzu has also

taken over many parts of the South.

Invasive species are any animal or plant that has entered an environment in which it does not

belong. These new species can harm the environment because they may be stronger or grow

faster than the species already there.
