What is the Great Spinx?

​The Spinx is a structure that has the head of a woman and the body of a lion. Nobody knows who created it. The Sphinx is made up of limestone and was formed by erosion. It is located in Giza, Egypt. The Sphinx was created around 2500 B.C.

For decades, it's been theorized the Great Sphinx of Giza may have originally been a lion-shaped natural landform that ancient Egyptians modified to form the stone-faced feline.
Scientist from New York University have tested that the theory by creating miniature, lion-like landforms from clay using fluid dynamics and discovered that it's possible that the shape of the rock inspired Egyptians to create the Sphinx.
