Gerunds
Gerunds are versatile parts of speech that can serve multiple functions in a sentence. We can use the gerund , that is INFINITIVE-ing in the following cases:
->as nouns (subject/object or component in a sentence)
e.g. I hate waking up early in the morning.
-> after certain verbs (love, like, dislike, hate, enjoy, deny, admit)
e.g. I enjoy cooking to ironing.
->after certain prepositions (on, in ,at, about,with)
e.g. I am good at playing chess.
