Mix any two colors to get another color. Using colors on the opposite side of the wheel creates contrast.

A color or shade of a color

Saturation
Intensity or Purity of a color, High saturation will make colors look richer and less pastel
No saturation makes your photos black and white.

Hues that give the feeling of calm and soothe, are identified as Blue, Green, and Purple. they remind you of the sky, water, and ice.
