Some employers require employees to use punch out cards and then round their employees' time to the nearest quarter hours.

Overtime!!

Overtime varies from state to state, so check with your employer!

After 40 hours of work, each hour worked earns 1.5x your hourly pay.

Without overtime, you calculate pay as (hourly wage)(hours worked). WITH overtime you do this:

Gross pay = (hourly wage)(40) + 1.5(hourly wage)(# of overtime hours)
