This method is easy but gives a refined look. It works best with buttercream.

1) Carefully pipe the border of your cookie
2) Zig zag back and forth, filling in the cookie
3) Clean up any mistakes and add details, such as sprinkles

This method gives a simple base for decorating over or a colorful cookie.

1) Start on the outside with a light amount of icing
2) Swirl the icing in carefully
3) Add final touches

Method #2

This method is really easy and gives a smooth finish.

1) Put icing in a shallow dish
2) Dip the cookie in the glaze, covering all the sides
3) Shake to remove excess icing
4) Flip over and let dry
