Fraction (Part 1)

The definition of a fractional number is part of a whole of a certain quantity. Mathematically, fractional numbers can be symbolized by "a/b". The number a/b can be read as "a over b". The number a is the numerator and the number b is the denominator.

Fractions are divided into two parts, namely the numerator (located above the dividing line) and the denominator (located below the dividing line. The numerator is the number or value that will be divided by the denominator. Meanwhile, the denominator is the number or value that is the divisor of the number. or numerator value

We will give an example, namely the numerator on the left and the denominator on the right.
Exampel : 1/3, 2/5, 6/7
