Plants that we eat
The parts of a plant that can be consumed are called edible parts of a plant.

Parts of a plant
●ROOTS: we need them to get water and
nutrients out of the soil.
●STEMS: they're like a straw and the plant
moves water from the roots to the rest
of the plant.
●LEAVES: they get energy from the sun.
●FRUITS: come in all shapes and sizes
and they carry the seeds. Fruits come
from flowers (strawberry - cucumber)
●FLOWERS: it has petals around it to
attract pollinators.
●SEEDS: they are inside the fruits. (nuts)
