This is hold. We make sure that the door is locked. We remain where we are until released. Something important is being taken care of at this time. Teaching continues.

Hold

This is usually during a fire drill.
To evacuate means to leave and area. We will leave the room.
Esto suele ocurrir durante un simulacro de incendio.

Evacuar significa abandonar un área. Saldremos de la habitación.

This is lock down. Room goes dark. We go under the window and are silent. We wait patiently to be release.

 This is secure the building. All outside doors and classroom doors are locked. The teaching continues.

This is shelter in place. We stay inside. This can happen with an earthquake or tornado warning.
