What are study skills?
3
Study skills refer to the skills you need to learn effectively and make the best use of your time.
We're going to go through a list of skills you can develop. The key is to build these gradually.
4
Study skills are habits you gradually build to become an effective learner. They include skills such as being prepared and organised, punctuality, research, note-taking and revision, time-management and managing your work-life balance.
These skills are not only useful in college, but will also help you in employment and future studies. Who doesn't like an organised, punctual employee?
5
You will develop your own personal approach to study and learning.
Study skills are not subject specific - they are transferable skills.
You need to practise and develop your study skills on a regular basis.
