The reason I wanted to
become a teacher is because I
see the value in educating
teens and making a
difference in their lives, both
in and out of the classroom.

My education
journey
I am a Nordonia High School graduate.
In high school I was the senior class
president, a 3 season lettermen in
volleyball basketball and softball, and a
part of the national honors society.
I graduated from Kent State University
in Integrated Mathematics qualifying
me to teach 7th-12th grade
mathematics. I also have coached
women’s basketball at Nordonia for the
last 4 years.
6
I come from a family full of
teachers-
My dad is a middle school teacher, my mom is a high school teacher, my brother is a
high school teacher, and my grandma is a retired teacher.
7
Expectations of my students
Be prepared
Be Respectful
Be productive
Follow school rules

Make up work
1.) Homework – I will accept
homework assignments that
are late for two points out of 5.
2.) Quizzes/Tests – All quizzes and
tests need to be made up on the day of
your return. They will need to be taken
before school, after school, or during a
free period, NOT during your class
period. Testing center is available
during the school day to complete the
missing assessment.
9
Grades-
Homework/Classwork – Homework/quizzes will be worth 20% of the overall grade
and will usually be assigned each night. Classwork is following the ‘expectations of
my students’ including being respectful and class participation.
Tests/quizzes- This is 80% of the students grades. We will have a test after each unit or in the middle of a larger unit. There is a 60% minimum grade for tests only.
There are NO opportunities for retakes on
quizzes or tests.

Extra Help
Extra help is available any time
before school, 7:35-7:55, in the
math office (Room 123). If I am not
available, please visit the Math
Lab or stop by the math office and
another teacher would love to
help. Do not fall behind and
always remember to ask for help!
