Pronouns take the place of a noun.

It is a little more complicated then just that though!

A subjective pronouns acts as the subject in a sentence! It's in the word!

Possessive Pronouns
Possessive pronouns show ownership, or how something belongs to someone! There are two types of possessive pronouns.
The first type is used with nouns like "my, yours, his, her, its, their, or our."
"This is his classroom." "My energy is low."
The second type is independent possessive... they don't need a noun! These are mine, yours, his, hers, ours, theirs,
"The hat is mine." "The cookies over there are hers."

Reflexive Pronouns
A reflexive pronoun can be a direct or indirect object in a sentence. They always end in -self or -selves though, which makes them easier to identify.
There are nine of them: myself, yourself, himself, herself, oneself, itself, ourselves, yourselves, and themselves.
"Madison decided to reward herself with pizza for dinner."
"After the game, she poured herself a refreshing cup of water."

You can spot the difference because intensive pronouns do not HAVE to be in the sentence... They are just extra to add to it!
"We went to hear the man speak." or "We went to hear the man himself speak."
"Did you make the cake?" or "Did you yourself make the cake?"
