Instructions

Read the Japanese Questions and Answers on the following slides
and check the English meanings so that you are familiar with all of
them.

Play the audio to practise hearing the questions you will be asked in
the interview and to help you pronounce your own answers
correctly.

There are also explanations and examples included in the audio
that are not in writing on the slide.

Be sure to ask your Sensei if you have any questions or need help.

Question 1

高校ですか。中学校ですか。

Is it senior high school or middle school?

Answer 1

You will need to answer with one of the following sentences. You can change
the word 日本 in the first answer if you have a different specific school.e.g. おん
がくの学校です。

日本の学校（にほんのがっこう）です。

高校（こうこう）です。

Or 中学校（ちゅうがっこう）です。

It’s a Japanese school.

It’s a senior high school. Or it’s a middle school.

What subject do/can you study?

Answer 2

Subject や Subject や Subject をべんきょうします。

We study subject, subject and subject.

ぶかつがありますか。

The following interview questions can have either a ‘

‘Yes, we have …..’ or a ‘No, we don’t have……’ answer.

Therefore, there are 2 answer slides for each question ahead.

Choose whichever example matches your ideal school brochure,
pamphlet etc.

Remember also that these are examples only and you can say your
own sentences. Just avoid translators and stick to language in the
textbook.
