• You will hear a conversation between 2 people on a social or practical topic.

• In this section you are given an example at the beginning.

• Write your answers on the question paper while you listen.

Form completion

• While you read the questions, think of what type of information you need for each gap.

• You will hear someone spell a name or say a number.

• Write numbers as figures, not words.

• You will hear a conversation with a woman who wants to join an international social club.

Multiple choice

• Before you listen, underline the key idea in each question

• The correct answer is often expressed using different words (or synonyms) from the words in the question

• We're going to listen to Don and Jenny again.

Listening: Section 2

• You will hear one speaker talking about a social topic

• You will hear a supervisor talking to a group of new nurses at a large hospital.
