Your ChromeBook

Using the built-in Camera app, click "Scan" and choose QR Code.

You can also scan documents and easily make them PDFs using the "Scan" feature!

The camera app also lets you take photos and videos, even create gifs!

You can turn on Caps Lock on a Chromebook by clicking Alt + Search (🔍)

You will see an icon in the System Tray, indicating that Caps Lock is on.

You can shut off Caps Lock by clicking Alt + Search (🔍) again OR simply clicking the Shift key once.

There are several shortcuts that use the touchpad and a combination of fingers.

You can also use ctrl + tab 😊

• ctrl + alt + ? = All Keyboard Shortcuts

The ctrl + shift keys takes a screenshot of the ENTIRE window.

The ctrl + shift + "Show Windows" keys allows you to select part of your screen to screenshot.

The "Show Windows" key quickly shows all active windows or apps (you can also use three fingers to swipe up/down on touchpad).

The Omnibox (Address Bar) in Chrome has the ability to do several cool things like:

• "directions from san antonio to dallas"

• "convert 254mm to inches"

• "flip a coin"

• "5 minute timer"

• "5x + 2(x + 7) = 14x – 7"

• "do a barrel roll"

Yes, Chromebooks have a built-in emoji keyboard like Windows!

Simply click the Shift + Search + Spacebar.

You can also right-click and choose "Emoji"

Closed an important tab by accident? You can easily recover by clicking ctrl + shift + t.

You can do this multiple times for multiple tabs closed like ctrl + z.

You can recover a closed window by using the same method.

NOTE: this works on Chrome on laptops, not just on Chromebooks.

You can easily dock apps, folders, files, etc. on the shelf by right-clicking and choosing "Pin to shelf."

Unpin items from the shelf by right-clicking and choosing "Unpin."

You can drag and drop to organize.

The Windows equivalent of this is the "taskbar" and it works the same.

Right-click by tapping the touchpad with two fingers simultaneously...

Also, alt + click works.

ChromeVox, along with other built-in accessibility features like color inversion, magnifier, etc. can be accessed by click the system tray (clock) and choosing "Accessibility."

The headphone piece can break very easily and get stuck inside the jack.

I should always, PINCH AND PULL the cable when I remove the headphones.
