​Cricket is the most popular sport in India. Major domestic competitions include the Indian Premier League, which is the most-watched cricket league in the world and ranks sixth among all sports leagues.

Along with cricket several traditional indigenous sports remain fairly popular, such as Kabaddi, Kho-Kho, Gilli-danda, Lagori, etc. According to our elders these traditional games took up a large stock of time after school and has also shaped the lives forever. 

Martial arts that has originated in India like Musti kalaga, Kalarippayattu, Malla yudda, kusti. Indoor game Chess has also originated in India. It is popularly known as Chaduranga. Ali-guli mane, chowkabara, havu-yeni aata, Kanna Muccha, Kuntebille, Antakshari are few of Indian indoor games.
