that the -ar, -er, -ir rule that we learned now has an update. -arse, -erse, -irse are how reflexive verbs end when they mean TO do something.

*No me gusta despertarme temprano. - I don't like getting up early.

*¿Te gusta ducharte o bañarte? - Do you like taking a shower or a bath?

*Profe necesita afeitarse. - Profe needs to shave.

*Queremos acostarnos. - We want to go to bed.

*A ellas les gusta levantarse a las siete. - They like to get up at seven.

When you use GUSTAR or other helping verbs you must make the pronoun match.

*Me desperté al las seis. - I woke up at 6.

*¿A qué hora te levantas normalmente? - What time do you normally get up?

*Kate se maquilló y después salió con amigas. - Kate put on makeup and later went out with friends.

*Nos dormimos mientras miramos la película. - We fell asleep while watching the movie.

*Ellos se arreglaron para la fiesta. - They got ready for the party.
